image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I was given my grandfathers old Stihl blower. It is a BG 60 AV. I'm not sure when it ran last. I put fuel in it, a new fuel line, air filter. The plug has spark. The only way I can get it to start to run is spray some carb cleaner or fuel in the carb, but it stop as soon as it uses that up. I did notice today that the one wire in the handle pulled out. I'm not sure where it is supposed to connect to.
Has anyone work on or had one of these? I'm not sure even where the thumb trigger should be set to when starting.

    Thanks for any help!

    Rebuild the carb.

On the wire issues I have zero idea. Good luck and God Bless

The wire is probably for the kill switch your going to have to trace it out. The carb probably needs to be rebuilt and is not drawing fuel. I would change the fuel line and filter also. When starting the saw you need to hold the throttle wide open when pulling the rope or if it has the high idle when you put the choke on that should suffice.
