New saw in the line-up - scored the Husq 555

    Posted yesterday about a possible 555 score. Met the seller today - very nice gentleman. Inspected the saw well and all systems go. He had some logs that I could test cut and I did - saw ran like a champ (except I noticed the chain stopping quick after letting off throttle - he never added bar oil....ran her for about 2 minutes dry :headbang:- didn't think to check oil ). She's mint. Hardly a speck of dirt on the whole saw. 20160302_173625.jpg 20160302_173658.jpg 20160302_172353.jpg He was asking $300 - offered $280 and he agreed. Pretty darn good deal. Was planning to do a quick flip, but might be a keeper - first autotune saw and I'd like to get a good feel for the saw and learn the new tech. I have a lot of downed trees that need to be processed and this will get a good workout about 2 weeks from now. If I'm not super impressed, she'll head down the road - but we'll see! A good saw day for sure! Cheers!

    Sweet deal! I have that saw's pro brother (562xpg) was torn between the 2 but got a deal on the 562 and heated handles to boot!! They really wake up after about 8 tanks of gas!! Have fun with it! Try a muffler mod too! The autotune will re-adjust itself. Haven't done anything with mine, got the "4 yr warranty", so don't want to do anything with it just yet.

    I recommended a 555 for my brother in law. I got to pick it up from the dealer and put the first tank through it. It's a great saw all around and I think you'll be well served by it. His 029 just sits on the shelf now.

    That's probably the best deal you'll ever score on a saw for a long time! You did good :thumbs:
