Uh oh - I resemble that remark. I have a Stihl MS271 with extra bar/chains but I also have a Remington electric I bought several years ago to use up in the lift basket. I use it once every three years or so and do some high trimming around the property. Take my man card but it works for that purpose.......

All I need is one chainsaw...like all I need is one rifle. I just so much enjoyment out of them that I can't just have one. I sort of envy those of you that can be satisfied with one-be it chainsaws, guns, or whatever.

That man must not have to conform to hunting regulations like I do. Local warden wouldn't think much of me trying to take a deer with a 9mm handgun or .22lr. If you live in Alaska, .44 magnum pistol is fairly standard grizzly protection, but hard to hit a moose at 300 yards with.

Point being, no one hammer is the right hammer for every job.

I know another old saying: Variety is the spice of life.

Also, I can assure you with practice a fellow can become proficient with many different...tools

Nope. Used to have one but no longer. Got two now. Someone stole my grey top husky 61 (and it was about an 84 or 85) about 12 years ago and replaced it with a husky 353 and a friend gave me his Stihl 27 so have a couple and keep them both clean ready to go. The cutters (only a few left now) in the bush here always carry two and then they are good until noon at least. The old Husky 61 would still be good if some sticky fingered 'nogoodnick' had left it alone. I keep the chain tension adjusted and the air breathers clean and it prevents damage to the jug and that's about all we need worry about. The old huskys were excellent but now it has to be a pro series or its just a husky in name only.

Right on! This is the truth ... it hurts ... but we can handle it ... so long as 'she who must be obeyed' is buying whatever excuse is being given. Red Green where are you when we really need you?

As said above, an outbound clutch (found on a lot of Husq saws) will not work for this. The 372xp and 390xp are a couple Husq it will work on (inboard clutch).

This is what an outboard looks like (346xp).

Most likely :D One of the 2 in the pic anyways.. ;)
