Don't know what it is about a good strong storm or severe cold snap, but I have to admit I enjoy the feeling knowing that we are "hunkered down".

How many others feel the same way?

We'll be hunkered down for just under .50 inch of rain on Wednesday February 3,we'll push in more wood today so it won't float in.

I really like to hunker down, but around here that unfortunately translates into "get the snowblower out and clear the whole flippin' neighborhood". Now I know why people move to Florida - It's not to escape the cold necessarily - it's to escape all the work that comes from moving the snow.

Hunkering down to me equates to lots of fun family time, cooking good meals, and being comfortable, warm, and happy:)

Pretty mild weather here. That's ok, but I like it a little colder.

Yeah, I remember those days. I would leave for work at 4:30 in the morning just to make it to work....I would actually break trail for the snowplow many days! More than once, the snow was coming over the hood of the car. What the heck was I thinking back then?

Still have to go to work, but it seems like its on my terms now, you know? Once you get to that point, its a good feeling!
