I bought a set of the 10-ply wardens last nov. Very impressed with them and the service dept which I had to use immediately due to a bulge in the sidewall on one tire and a flat spot in the tread on another. The replacements were shipped at no cost and I disposed of the other. In that one years time, I put only 6K on them. They took extra weight to balance them...sometimes when I started out on the highway, it would feel like there was an unbalanced tire, but it always smoothed out by 50-60. I thought at first this was because of the 10 ply rating and a cold tire, but it occurred even after the tires were warm and driven (45 min.)
I sold them with the old rust bucket of a truck and only wish that the used truck I bought had the same sized wheels so I could have transferred them. I would buy them again....as soon as they offer free shipping.

If your willing to share, I'm really curious as to the EXACT tire (model, size, load range) your running and the mileage and type of use?
I run a contracting and handyman business, i tow 7x14 double axle trailer with ALL of my tools and a respectable supply of common building materials and hardware. I tow it with a '01 dodge w/ 24v cummins. This motor is tearing my goodrich T/A KO2's to pieces. I'm only expecting 25K out of the compared to the coopers that went 50K, If i could get the more aggresive tread at a WAY lower price(1/2) i would really consider it. The environmetally friendly part has me stoked too.

Guard dog 285-75/r16 load E on 7.3 powered f250 four door. Occasional towing of car trailer or enclosed trailer or 25' camper. Nothing crazy. I have has them in the off road park a coupls times too. Awesome in snow and mud. The main reason i went with an agressive tread is my driveway climbs 240' vertical over only half a mile with two hard switchbacks
Thinking about it, i have 175k miles on the truck and i thought i put on these tires around 150k. Will have to check log book. That kinda blows but they are a mud terrain on a tuned truck and i have been known to stomp on the skinny pedal once in a while. I cant help it when my son screams "put that hammer down daddy!" Haha anyway, i think the previous nittos got 50k but they were not oversized like these and not a mud terrain. These are a little too loud over my 7.3, but i think you might be ok with a cummins. I will be getting the Wardens for my next set.
I will see if i can dig up some pics. They are always fun.

Wait a minute there! Even though I said I would buy them again, I should first have said that they fit my needs. I read many reviews before I decided on treadwright and as long as I don't do a lot of highway driving (freeway, interstate, or even prolonged highway speeds) then I would buy another set.
Lets face it, you don't learn anything from reading positive reviews...you naturally expect that you are buying a good product. The negative reviews are the ones you learn from, really. What almost made me change my mind were the reviews of the treads letting go at speeds greater than I drive; namely, people commuting type of driving; lots of highway use. Seems the cap overheated and let go causing personal injuries/damages beyond desire.
If you feel comfortable with these on a vehicle that you use at speeds for extended periods, knock yourself out! But I hope not....
I still like the company and it so happens that they fit my needs, that is why I will most likely be a repeat customer. If I lived where I would have to drive 70 and greater, I would opt for brand new....what the heck is a couple hundred more if it comes down to it?

i am surprised you only get 25K out of your goodrich T/A KO2's. i would guess you wouldnt get the same life out of guard dogs, but yes much cheaper.

i do plenty of highway driving with cruise control set at 70. safe and comfortable in my mind. i have had them over 100mph at the track (whopping 16s 1/4 mile, lol). tho if i didnt have my driveway or a feeling that i dont want to let a snowstorm keep me from traveling anywhere then i would be looking at non-AT/MT tires.
    oh, this is my lane:

I just bought a set for the lil womans explorer from my commercial tire salesman. $115/each for something similar to the warden. That includes mounting/balance. 10 ply and 18/32 tread depth. Funny Treadwright doesn't list depth.

After seeing the manufacturing process I bet they aren't all the same. Say they use a cooper for one and a Firestone for another, a bet the carcasses are different and that would lead to different tread depths?

We have run the guard dogs on two trucks and the wardens on our old blazer. They are imptessive and past my high miliage off road tests thats for sure.. Good tires and good customer support. I had one off balance tire called them and the sent another no questions asked... I didnt need to return the old ones either! Great company!

If they hold up to my abuse there a good tire lol... I am sold.......
