I was hoping it would stay south of us but no such luck. But there's a silver lining to everything. I told my father in law that if we get a large amount of snow out of this that his car in my driveway would be a pain in the azz to deal with. As a result he's leaving tomorrow before it arrives.

My oldest son is a tin knocker working for a commercial HVAC company. He was telling me over Christmas that he's been working a lot at the Shipyard brewery. He's been a regular customer in their tasting room where he can buy 64 oz. growler's of their latest trial brews. He's in heaven with this job.

    Official news.

    It's Snowing here.

About 2 inches on the ground now and still snowing.

Went down to the barn and brought up a full barrel of shells before the Snow got going earlier.

Sure is pretty, but we are just on the edge of it (Just high enough to get sticking snow)

A few inches of white on the roof will really help keep the old shack warm. :D

Ahhh well, not supposed to be much, maybe a few inches at most.

A man can take only so much. A 4 month stay turned into 9 months. I've had enough.

You should be outside checking the oil, tire pressure, etc. on that vehicle, making sure he's good to go & has a safe trip ..

He's going to his sons about 100 miles north before he heads to Florida. His AAA will tow him 100 miles, so I'm hoping I'm all set.

He came up for the summer, which stretched into early winter. He was supposed to spend half of the time at his son's, my BIL, but always found an excuse to not go. He say's he's coming back in April, but that ain't happening. I want to get rid of him first before I start spouting off, though.

I think that he preferred to stay at your home is telling, Sub - Kudos to you and your wife for opening your home to your FIL and allowing him to spend the Holidays w/ you both, I hope you can end the visit on a positive note.. Having lived within 'striking distance' from the in-laws for many years while they were living, there was occasional tension, but now that they've passed, my wife still misses them very much during the holidays, life really is too short.

I hope you have a great week Sub.
