Having a very short but much wanted and needed cold snap. Highs in the low 40s and down in the 20s at night. Wish winter would show up and stay for good, its really screwing up my waterfowl hunting. Not to mention quality time in front of the stove. Pic from this morning. 47 out now but temps are getting lower as day goes on. This is how I enjoy my mornings. Coffee and the warmth of the stove.
Good to hear someone else is rooting for the colder weather! People around here supposedly pride themselves on being "hardy New Englanders" but I hear many locals glad it's been so warm and they get whiny when it turns cold. I say BRING ON WINTER!
Me Too! Awoke this morning to a few inches of snow and more today and tonight. Finally went down to 16 degrees F last night. But the 14 day is just around 32 - 35 degrees F daytime and 20's at night. The lake is wide open with no ice anywhere. Cannot remember open water this late. Out west lot's of winter. Storms on east coast. But not much going on in the middle. I guess we just have to be patient and grin and bear it.
Now today is the way it is supposed to be this time of year. 26ยบ outside with a nice stove full and at least we have a skip of snow on the ground.
