I still remember the name of the telephone operator we had to go thru to place calls to those not on our party line. OOPS guess my age is showing:bug:

Early caller ID. When you cranked the handle everyone on the line knew who was placing the call.

Wow, too many warm welcomes to keep up with...
To address a couple of questions / comments:
The stove is a Villager Bayswater, they are manufactured locally to me, it wouldn't have been my choice but I picked it up really cheap & refurbed it. Our last stove was a Stovax which was great but I don't imagine you have either brand in the states.
The uncovered rounds where my son is playing with the toy chainsaw are all now CSS under cover and up on pallets (I've learnt that much :)). The rounds were all >2 years old so I figure these will be ok to burn 16/17.
Scrumpy is dynamite stuff scrumpy although with two boys age 3 & 1 1/2 I tend to go easy as they're tough to deal with on a hangover!
Yes duvets & duvet covers are a marvel :)
Thanks again for all the friendly greetings gents, I'm sure Internet forums / clubs don't get any friendlier than this :)

From what I gathered you hauled all that wood home in your car.
Even a small trailer would help immensely

That is very true HDRock however it's a company car on contract hire and we're not allowed to get a tow bar fitted so it's seats down and logs in when it's in wood carrying mode.
