Hillbilly match in the making. Deere 455 with 40 loader 54" deck, 6 suitcase weights, a few dumbells loaderd tires 50 lb wwheel weights plus chains VS a polaris razor 900.
455 weighs in at 2600 lbs minus operator at 225lbs and 6 gallons of fuel. Razor weighs 1100 ish lbs
Razor owner claims low 4x4 will pull the garden tractor like itss not there...
455 has diff lock no 4x4
The debate is heated and close to happening
Who wins in a tug of war haha go

The Razor will lose. Traction and weight will win this.

Wow interesting picts would ne nice. So ur talking like a tug of war? I think the 2600 pounder is way overmatched in the hp dept. However the razor is not heavy enough a video would be cool.

Yea razor for sure has more hp i believe in 75hp range. The yanmar 3 cyl and k92 tho i think hit in the 650ish range as far as lb ft of torque go..

Forget HP, it's all about torque to the driving wheels when all else is equal. OTOH this one could be won by a rock that weighs too much for the Razor to move it.

I just cant imagine a 1200 lb high gear cvt fun cart will be able to match 2x its weight vs a heavy garden tractor. Even with 4x4. Unless im under estimatint these things. I know i will yank a bigger utility atv around pretty easily.

Make sure you wear a hat, because the Polaris will be shooting rooster tails all over you as you drag him across the yard.

I need to see a video of this. Not want, need.

There was a video on youtube of 4xx that 4wd vs a gator. They dead even, they both sat in place, neither one budged. I say it will be close but with rzr having 4wd he may have the upper hand.

Here is the video I was thinking about. It was a x585. It looks like he could have pulled the gator but the hydro was too weak.

Please note the performance of the Gator in the above examples! :dex:

I've bested a 455 (ag tires) with a 6x4 diesel gator before. Pulling on item 4. Both dug in hard and the Gator just had more traction.

Your case? That razor is gonna chit bearings trying to drag that weighed down 455. If it doesn't have a low gear, he doesn't stand a chance. Being on grass is probably working in his favor. The 455 will pull harder weighed down on ag tires vs. chained turfs. Go easy on the hydro pedal and stand on the diff lock.

Since the Deere has a diff lock, I'm voting that for sure. Hopefully that Rzr doesn't bust his front diff, there's parts in them that are plastic and have been known to break if the front wheels come off the ground and then hit the groudn at a higher wheel speed than ground speed.

Air your rear tires down so you have nice flat contact patch. Also are the rear tires loaded? You could have rimguard put in them for more weight.
