Brought in some pine, ash, a couple of pieces of hickory and oak.
It isn't going to be that cold and, I don't usually bring Wood inside the house this time of year but, with the storms coming through with high winds and rain, I decided to bring some in, all my wood is top covered and that's what I use to burn, with sideways rain some of my wood will probably be wet, and I really don't want to be messing around out there under the trees with 25 to 50 mile an hour winds.

I made sure my wood box in the house was full today before the rain tonight and tomorrow. Gotta be a boy scout.

We in the midwest were taught at a young age to share with our friends. You can't complain about that, can you? :doh:

We have a heavy snow fall heavy rainfall warning for the next couple of days. Im glad it held off today for the remembrance day ceremony. It was a bit windy and had 2 inches of the white stuff but that wasn't so bad. Glad you brought some in until it clears. I keep about a weeks worth in the attached garage myself!

Saw the topic, thought it was a pellet stove thread :)
Then saw it was HDRock's thread, thought "He got a pellet stove " ? "Better check it out"

    :D Bags of splits

Good plan, how many days worth of burning in 3 bags ?

I keep quite a bit of wood in the house ,
few to no bugs on birch & dry wood is good :)

Yep, was just thinking this morning that somewhere around 20 degs. would be just cold enough to not blow through a ton of wood, yet also cold enough to need a decent fire.

Yup 3 days in house now. 30 MPH winds went to cut up cord of yellow birch that blew down.. and it was rotted:( So just blocked it in 6 foot prices and left.. probably why it fell.. other half tree is good but not cutting 70 foot tree half rotted in high winds that's foolish:loco:

That's cold Dave. Hope we don't get much of that before January. Like HD stated, we're in line for some really warm weather for this time of year. Except tomorrow with a high of 44 and rain/snow. But then it warms back up.

We got rain overnight and breezy today but not like it was forecast to blow. Good with me!

I just lit a fire as the temperature is dropping and the wind is raw.
