Doing good again today, went for a ride with Lovely Wife to see MIL. Got some work done on the computer. Taking it easy, trying to keep up and walking regularly. Got the big bandage off, that felt so much better. Still have the surgery ache, but no nerve pain. Staples are already starting to itch, that is a good sign!

Things continue to be getting better here, no leg or nerve pain, left foot does, tend to fall asleep easy though. I go in Friday to get the staples removed, ready for that to happen they are driving me batty!

On a serious note, bow season is out the window for me this year, to much twisting in the lower back when I pull the bow back. I'm also a little leary about gun season, I'll be 5 weeks post op on opening morning. I really don't want to be the guy that shouldn't walk at deer camp... guess time will tell how much I can do come that time.

I hear you. Haven't done much hunting this year myself. I did finally get one of the rifles out to shoot. Yes, it did hurt my back but the shoulder seemed to take it okay. Now I'll try the bigger rifle and see how that does but not until next week.

Glad you are doing well with this surgery. For sure you now know the hazards.

Well two weeks post op and still getting better. Have had a little more numbness in my left foot again, but manageable. Biggest problem now is I'm not comfortable sleeping in our bed.

I'm going bat poop crazy taking it so easy this time, and tired of being "mother hen"-ed by everyone that knows me, I know they do it cause they care. But still. I'm getting antsy to run a saw and splitter, but I'll be a good boy.... fun haters!

Glad to hear you are feeling better! I somehow reinjured mine a few days ago and have been in bad shape. Haven't barely been able to get up for more than a few minutes at a time without getting flare-up muscle spasms.

I feel your pain... can't "like" that post. I know some people are able to control the pain with meds or shots, but I decided on another surgery... the fact that I had my deductible already covered for the year played a big part in that decision. I found that if I kept off my feet as much as possible (run my own company so could work from home) and keeping on med made the nerve pain tolerability, also started wearing my good athletic shoes in the house made a huge difference before surgery... that is something I might keep doing, have always felt with foot pain as well.

I'm hoping that you get through this fast Certified106 !
