This pile just wont go away. I had trees dropped next to the shop so i could start dropping all my rounds back behind and out of the way. But someone cant quit dumping scrounges on it....
Did a couple loads today and built another rack. Picked up 8 heavy duty pallets from worrk.

Getting in the habit of splitting and stack one truck load a day lately.. feels a hell of alot beetter than slamming out a full day. I have to get this pile done before the serious cuttinfl begins this winter. Otherwise it will be 5 times this size all next summer

Really enjoying the new dp muff on the 044... it has put some obsessive port or sell and go 461 thoughts in my mind. I didnt give my 576xpat a fair chance as it wasnt even broken in but this 044 spanks that tank i had.

Cant remember if i ever posted my current winter supply. This connects to back of detachdeed garage. Makes for a nice covered out of the weather path of the back door. Can fit a hell of alot moree but i usually have one stack remaining at the end of the season. Once i stop being lazy and have a full 3 year seasoned supply i will cram the lean to full

Get the scrounges when available. There may come a time when scrounging opportunities are lean.
    Split when time presents itself.
    Nice cache !

    Nice... Very Nice.

I'm surprised that you didn't like the 576xp... It's my go to saw for big wood. But I know what your saying about the 044 series too... Never understood what people were talking about till I got one in my hands.... Then I understood... Good looking saw there, by the way:handshake:

Dont get me wrong the 576xpat was just so smooth and such a solid built saw. If i would have given it a chance and actually put 10 tanks through it im sure it would have beeen a keeper. The 044 just seeems like it flicks around in my hands like a smaller saw yet still pulls 28 skip like a champ. The 576 let you know you were worrking a biggeer saw if that makes sense..

    Great stacks
    Good looking wood too.

Looks like you split right into the PU, then haul it to stack
    saves a step or 2.
    Good idea !!

I need to try something similar

Yep back up right to the stacks. First i havee been able to do this and it is great. Trees used to be in thee way and mower and cart used to do it. Once all is split i will he ablee to dump/split right imbtween the stacks which will be great
