Well my day today started off normal..... Then the wife calls the director off the cook of call he and asked why I was not cooking brisket this year. After some discussion it was because of the cost of the briskets. So because of the lack of people cooking. They are now buying two briskets for me and I will pay to enter the open contest! With that being said it means Friday night I will be cooking 30lbs of brined chicken quarters then start my briskets, followed by getting my beans rolling then cook 10 pounds of chilly!!! I will take several pics and post this weekend! Wish me luck!!! Oh and I coach little league football sat morning before I turn in the briskets!!
Well I ham here to report this was the works cook off ever!! Did not win a dang thing!! Except 2 place with my peach cobbler. I did not like the way my brisket tasted. My beans were good but not sure what happens there. Wife's chilli was great just not sure what we were missing! Oh well on to the next one. On another note 40 lbs of brined chicken was gone in 15 min!!! On to the next cook off!!!
