Much of your problem is that the full code isn't there. It cuts out just as its getting to the img data.

I've used a weather stick for many years. Very accurate. No batteries. Not imported, Not plastic. Not techy enough for some.
it is sunny out now, but the stick is pointing down, Looked up the forcast, yup. sure enough, rain is predicted for tomorrow.

the weather stickers are only a generalization......if i type in my zipcode to noaa it pulls current conditions from the airport which is 22 miles from here and a different elevation:loco:  i can link to other closer stations but still miles away and different elevation/conditions,thats why i have my own station;) i will check into linking my own info but i dont think i can being on satellite i cant stream live info,it uses up all my stuff.

For those thinking of a Davis system...

I've been running a Vantage Vue since they first offered them about 5 years ago. A couple months ago I mailed it back to them for refurbishment. This is where they charge $100+$20 shipping and replace parts that would cost more that. My unit's dew point sensor had failed badly, and DP is our favorite use for the Vue. So, anyway, it seems to have worked out, and Davis has a reputation for good customer service.

I consider it impossible to get accurate high temperatures in sunshine with most modern Stevenson screens (radiation shields), and the Vue is worse than most, so siting is very important.

The console and everything is a really cool gadget that is worth the (high) price.

not sure I followed that, but...
...I had so much endless rambling in my original post that I shortened it. So, might not have made much sense or been much use.
