Checked my local C/L this afternoon and found this listing posted 30 minutes prior to me looking at it for free Birch less than 10 minutes from the house, promptly threw on my boots, grabbed my gloves and fired up the Yota and headed over there only to find a guy with a SUV and trailer loading it up. I slowed down to check it out and he gave me the Yeah, move on I beat you to it look. that wasn't you was it CDE2020

One 60 foot birch tree had to come down. Cut into approx. 19" long rounds up to 24" diameter. Available now. Will pull post when gone. 9125 3rd Ave SE Everett. Come and help yourself. Front yard.

Nope, not me, but I did see the ad. A little far for me to go for that amount. Doesn't mean I didn't think about it tho. Sorry you missed out. Wait'll the next wind storm...

Looked to be about 24 or 25 rounds, would of filled up my truck real nice. heck I've driven further than the 10 miles or so from Snohomish to Everett for lesser amounts. But the only reason I went to try and get this was because it was so close, I really do not need it at them moment as i have enough unsplit rounds and have run out of room to stack. so I guess I should not be too disappointed as I would of needed to split and stack that Birch pronto as it likes to get punky quickly if not stacked and top covered

I'm out north of Monroe, so it was probably 20+ miles. My limit is usually around 15 miles. I too don't need it, but that normally doesn't get in the way of getting more.

thanks for the heads up, but like I said I have pretty much run out of room to stack so if I do go after any more wood it has to be quality hardwoods, Maple, birch, locust, elm. I am to the point where I can be a wood snob.

I know Doug Fir is higher on the BTU list than some of those but I really like burning them as I feel I get more of a complete burn from them, I always end up with unburned coal type clinkers when I burn my soft woods,

It better start getting cold soon I need to burn some seasoned stuff to make room to split and stack all the Doug Fir rounds I have

So I emailed the person and he said trees are 1 pine and 3 cedar.
I recognized the cedar branch's, definitely not western red cedar, looks more like white cedar (low btu)
