thanks chance04 and ChuckinMichigan and Fanatical1. yeah I let it get to 350 or 700 inside and threw the cat and it went black and I thought I had stalled it but 20 minutes later it lit up. I guess I am just trying to learn.. hey its new:D. But having the FHC here to encourage and support is great beyond words!:handshake:

I can not wait till I get my replacement 3ft of class a so we can light our new heater up. High of 56 today and rain, high tomorrow of 52 and rain again. I'm really disappointed I can't get started on my break in fires with these temps

So for now I feed the fire bug with FHC pics of others break in's and first fires of the season threads

This is completely typical behavior for the IS, especially during the shoulder season. A few of us testers were convinced they made major changes to the production stove but really we just got the testers mid winter and didn't have much of a shoulder season that spring.

Sounds about right. Weather changes make it act different.
