    The temp has dropped from 49 this morning at 7am to 40 as of 1pm, holding steady there with intermittent heavy rain. Just fired up a load of cherry and apple uglies to take the chill off. Forecast low of 35 with more rain tonight, so I think I'll likely reload when this burns down.

    My first fire of this season was back on September 17, just a little over two weeks ago. I don't think I'll be taking another two week break from burning until May or June 2016. Fall has begun.

    1443823149061.jpg Came home to a 58 deg house, made a little bit of a bigger fire than yesterday. The cover blew off the maple & poplar and its been pouring all day. Went with some oak splits from the shed.

    Our winds are about the same, but gusting later to near 50 mph. Its been pouring non stop, what a difference a fire makes. Heavy rain all night through late tomorrow night.
