Oh boy, did my father-in-law, my son, and I eat too much! Chili with oyster crackers and then home made apple cobbler with too much whip cream on top!!!!!!! I just picked the apples off our wild apple tree this afternoon. Wifey processed the whole five gallon tub already! Tomatoes and apple processing machine she is!:dex:

Bought the HF version of a load handler for $36 after coupon. I hauled 8 loads, an easy 8 yards of fill from my yard to 2 houses down in about 2 hours with my 2 and 5 year old "helpers."

Thing worked fantastic, I would highly recommend to anyone with a pickup.

I know basod has one, will test it out on firewood next time out.

They are a huge time saver - hope the HF version works as well as the original - that's ~1/4 price I paid for the HD version:headbang:

Can't comment on the original but I overloaded this one (1 ton rated) as well as,the old mule ans I was the only one groaning. I learned quickly to load the tailgate down good before cranking. After that, easy enough.

We filled a neighbors old dry well, he estimated 7 yards and I gave him a heavy 8 loads. No sweat... ok well yes I did, but I sweat like a [$&@&$ in a $&@&$).]

Googled. That is a VERY cool thing. Suppose one could go over a 5th wheel hitch bed?

It needs to be a good slick surface. No rhino bed liner or mat so depends on how flat it is when the hitch is out. Could throw down a piece of plywood I suppose if needed.

A little morning boost of energy happening right now. I really need to get down to camp this afternoon and cut some grass. Busy time of the year, won't be long and it will be time to bring all the wood in under cover as well.

Yes it is.... Haven't had much rest here lately and I require my sleep. My work hours have been out of wack here lately. I've been mentally and physically fatigued here lately. I sat down and calculated yesterday after discussion with a coworker. That we've worked every day since the 24th of August except the three day labor day weekend. We got today off finally, needed it. Hopefully I'll get some time to reset my body...

Caffeine injection underway, about to load up on pancakes and thick sliced bacon. Then time to move some wood around from the pile to the stacks. Headed to the Gun Club this afternoon for some trapshooting. Everyone have a good safe day.

The wind is shifting from west to north west this morning and the humidity is leaving. I hope to finish the maple, oak and elm rounds that have been sitting around all summer in the sun.

My neighbor who delivers my firewood, dropped off a 4' long red cedar log. I need to figure out what to do with it.

A little fall weather would be nice at this point.
