England Insert?

    Where were England insert sold through? Did any of the big box stores sell them? This one is on a local CL. Thanks

    That is an older insert, may even predate the box stores around here... mid 70s?

    model 28-J would have been built up until the late 1980's its a "pre-Phase 2 unit" essentially it carries a UL -1482 listing (assuming someone didn't tear off the data tag which voids the listing) but it is NOT EPA certified so in an increasingly large percentage of the country it is no longer legal to install it due to the lack of the EPA certification.

    check with your local code officials first before buying to ensure that you do not live in an area that disallows new installation of non certified stoves.

    EDIT ; the unit would have been sold either in a Sutherland Lumber store or a quality Farm and Fleet as they were the only chains we sold through back then in that area.
