    7 to 10 days means she has some serious infection risk. Kids are real strong. She comes from good stock. You did the right thing taking her to children's hospital. Prayers for an uncomplicated recovery.

    Just now seeing this. Great news on a successful surgery. Prayers sent for a fast and full recovery brother. Rottiman is right. The young ones do heal much faster than an old codger like him.

    I was thinking the same thing... my best friend had his go out when we were like 20. he was home the next day. Hopefully it's just precautionary.

    try to mind the diet-- the kids are going to want to eat different things but it's important to follow doc's orders here.

    I haven't been on much here, but she is doing pretty good. Lots of sleeping and the Drs coming in regularly to check on her. Now the next thing is for her to pass gas, that will tell the Drs that her intestines are properly working. Once we get there the tube will come out of her stomach. We got her up yesterday and went for a little walk, then we put her in a wheelchair and explored the hospital and played games for an hour or so.,it was nice to get her out of the room and she was even smiling.
