Good to hear that. I'm up to ears in white ash right now. It's the worst I've ever seen as far as the beetle damage. It was cut right up the street from me - they're clearing out a huge dead stand of them along with some other logging on the property..
Burns long, hot, and is light to work with. Plus it produces very little stove ash in comparison to more poplar firewood species. God Bless
I agree with that on everything smaller than say 16 inches in diameter. The larger stuff is stringy often. I don't know why it does that. I love ash and years from now, I'll wish I had it back.
Some can be a little stringy but it is rare to get it here. If grown in the open or in a yard, then it will have more that tendency.
