duh......but its the "basking" in knowing ya got 2 extra bags and some floor sweepings......cheap bastards.
Yeah, like you've never done that with anything in your life....gimme a break. I don't believe that for a NY second. People do what they have to to take care of their family's and save some $$. Maybe you've got so much $$ that you don't care. If so, we don't care Last I'm saying on the topic.
Like other have said, it a bag is damaged, they usually give you replacements and tell you to keep the damaged ones. Not only forked bags, but bags that have moisture issues and clumps of swollen pellets. It's not just the box stores either. I've gotten replacement bags for wet pellets from my stove dealer more than I have the box stores. It's pretty much an industry wide practice, it's not anybody being cheap. And I bet the box stores employees ruin a lot more pellets by leaving them opened in the rain than they give out for forked bags.
The last ton of TSC Energex I picked up had about 8 bags with clumps in them. You can bet I'm going to bring them back for replacements. They can have these, I don't want to deal with the sawdust. I'm just waiting for a decent replacement product to show up before I bring them down there to be replaced...All they have down there now are GS and I'd take my chances with the clumps before swapping out for those!
Last season i had 10 or 12 bags of wet pellets. Hd had run out of product when i relized how bad it was and could not exchange them for me. I argued and fought tool and nail for 2 months with the people down at rentech and finally got a 50$ check in the mail for replacement pellets. I used that credit to buy some of this years stash. The people down at rentech are so cocky its crazy.
I had a couple bags on the final ton I picked up last season that were wet. They gave me new bags, I dumped about a third of each wet bag into the trash and the rest of the bags went into the hopper. No shame in getting your money's worth IMHO.
Once we get into the heating season, I'm interested to hear your thoughts about the Blazers vs. Somersets performance.
Took a count and double checked. 232 total in the kitty. I had 250+ last season but only burned 185ish. So I should be all set. But if the price drops from the current $269ish I'd gladly stuff in another 50 or so. Hoping oil stays low and pellet prices crap out all over the floor so we can go mop em up!!
