Really people? They need to track these dolts and fine them for blatant false calls.

Just took this rim sprocket off a friends saw. He said he couldn't keep the chain tight and it sounded really bad. :hair:

So today I took a grinder to a Stihl 046 muffler to help it breathe a bit better. Also helped friend adjust his rear brakes, change his coolant and consulted on an aircraft repair. Oh, I also sat on a tractor for about 16 miles mowing grass on the airstrip.

Started cutting grass hay this morning... forgot about the ruts my father in law left with the track hoe and broke the "strut frame" on the disc mower, $730 replacement cost.... hay is getting to be more expensive of a hobby then saws.

Spent the day at work running cold bottles of water and gatoraid to all the crews, third day in a row of over 100 heat index, I keep telling them to quit around noon, but they plug away!

I've had the burn pile going since Saturday despite a couple of pretty good thunderstorms. I just add when I can and it gets going again. Picking up a lot of downed limbs and fallen trees and so forth. Too far gone for firewood. Would be fine to leave them to rot and enrich the soil, but I'm just policing up the area near the driveway for appearance sake. A standing rotten tree covered in poison ivy fell and that one has been burning since Sunday. Pretty big. I can't do much outside while it is going for the poison ivy smoke. The wind is swirling so bad I just throw the stuff from the periphery into the hot spot, drop a load or two on with the front end loader before it catches up again and then get inside. No close neighbors to worry about.

And I eradicated the yellow jacket nest that my wife discovered the hard way.

It isn't much but with a full time job, the key at home is to do what I can when I can. It adds up over time.

100 HEAT INDEX is not hard for us this time of year. Should have a week straight or more of it.

Yeah, I hate mowing a filed for the first tie with the disc mower, heard so many horror stories about hitting stumps or what not. Previous to this the worst thing I found in a hay field was a few hundred feet of barbed wire... that was fun to cut off the turtles.

And yeah the AC works great in the tractor... thankfully it was completely rebuilt before we got it.

I am not doing anything. Well, that is not entirely true but I got specific direction this morning to avoid all outdoors work because the projected high was over 90ºF and the humidity is always high this time of year.

here is pic of of field hayed toward apple tree's
    20150717_192957.jpg

in back there's a pile wanting for splitter.. mix of apple, ash and popular .... 20150717_192944.jpg

probably 2 plus cord last elm.. brother cut backwards and hung it up BAD... blocking that one from bottom up... but the field to swamp is a good 2o foot drop almost vertical.... 25 feet cut off base basically stood it back up.. pinched the blade on Stihl 260 had to pull out 455 rancher out of box and oiler had dried out got it fixed that is a NICE running saw.. I'll keep it!

pics to come later of ash as I am too tired to walk back to take pics now. time to:chef: then :drunk:then:sleeping:
