I am looking for a very large husky large mount bar.

At the tail end of last season I made a pretty nice chunk of change cutting spearing holes. The last few weeks of the season the pike move up shallow and every body and their brother wants to relocate their shack. Usually folks auger two lines of parallel holes and spud the rest then bail the ice chips out. This process takes several hours for those in decent shape. Darn near impossible for your average beer bellied iron ranger.

I helped a buddy move his and my 36" bar just barely made it, his hole was in front of a creek mouth so the ice was thinner. Other folks saw me finish the hole in under 20 minutes. I had folks lined up asking me to cut. Anyone on the thinner ice I was able to do. The thicker ice I could not reach water. Some was 5 1/2 feet thick. Still, I made about 500 bucks that afternoon and a couple hundred more the following week. Nobody around here has a saw big enough for late season ice, I pull out my 576 w/ 24" at the township yard waste dump and people think I'm nuts.

I am about 1/2 done with my 395 rebuild and I want a big 'ice bar' for it. 72" .063 preferably hard nose. Where can I find one?

This is all I could find-
But it's for Stihl, and it costs $303... Could it be machined to fit the large mount Husky?

Nice find, man of stihl, wonder if the hardening snafu would matter for cutting ice?

A 3003 mount Stihl bar would also work with a cheap adapter/bushings and a drilled tensioner hole.

I'm giving the ebay mystery special a try. It won't see all that much use. The water will help keep it cool and lubricated. Now I need to find a chain.

The forester will probably be fine for your use. Madsens will probably be cheapest for that much chain. They'll sell it 2 for 1. $.39-42 a dl and you get a 2nd free up to the same dl count.

I have either run across that ebay auction or seen it posted here before? I have seen that pic of the girl and bar before. Someone called it like a 50+" bar and someone pointed out unless that girl is like 4ft tall they think its bigger than that.

I figured out a tripod for lifting blocks out with my atv winch. I usually just shove them under with pike poles but some people want them out of the hole.

I was thinking about running the 576 buy with the 395 I can run with out the clutch cover if water and slush become a problem. Obviously no brake but done properly kick back is minimal.

72" probably won't kick up but will have a lot of pushback if the top of the bar gets bound.
