    This post vise was left at the dumpster at work. It needs some wire brushing and oil, but I will have it back in service in no time.

    A portable vise, eh. That's interesting.
    Stick it in the ground in the woods, and file your chain. Not sure I'd wanna' lug it around though.
    What was the original use (I know, it's a vise)?

    Yes.
    This new to me one on the right is 35 lbs and will get fixed to my workbench.

    The one on the left is 65 lbs and it goes outside when I set up the forge. Nothing is light in this business.

    I bought a used 1" belt sander for $40. I used it last night and am not sure how I lived without it before.
