Well, about 4 years ago I sold my medium duty Jonsered and replaced it with my Echo 400. Not displeased, but I wish I still had my medium duty Jonsered. Well, my auction guys have one coming up here in a week. I don't know the condition but if things don't work they usually say that. I am thinking $100 to $125. What do you guys think. I think this was the owners everyday saw. There is alot of cool stuff in this auction that if "the Norwegian" finds out I on some of this stuff she is going to have a small fit. But, I just sold about $400 in reclaimed cedar siding, so I have some "found" tool money.

If it has decent compression and runs, you would have a very good deal at any less than $150.
The 670 is a real good runner.

That pic looks good to me. If youre looking for a good quality all-around firewood saw then saws in this range (jred 630, husky 266, 268, 272) are a killer one saw plan.

The 670's are strong running saws, I believe they are a 67cc engine. The only issue would be some parts are NLA and could be difficult to find. I have a couple and they can handle a 24" bar with no problem.

Looks like the handle has been repaired on the right side where it bolts to the tank. Pistons are available, but cylinders are NLA and hard to find in good shape.

I've sold these saws for $200-$250 in good clean condition with nice bar/ new chain.

thanks for the input. From all of your comments and not being able to run the saw I'm thinking I am about right on the $100 tops. Who knows what's inside.
I do like Jonsered saws. I like how they feel and run. So, that makes it worth a little more for me.
Stackowood, I see your Avatar is Jonsered. Do, you work on them alot? I see you joined here a little over a month ago. Welcome and again thanks for your good insight.

I've been around Jonsered saws since the late 70's, but there's always something new to learn. The 630/670 series is probably my favorite and I always seem to have 2 or 3 kicking around. Hope the auction goes well and you get the saw!

670 sold for $49. I stopped at $47 which in effect is about $60 with the buyers premium and sales tax. That was my top dollar without being able to test out the saw.
One of these days I am going to get one. It's sorta like fishing. Eventually you'll get something decent.

I'm probably going to sell at least one of the 670s I just finished going through. Won't be $60 :tears: but will be a good running saw at a reasonable price.
