Felled and bucked a small black gum. Anyone burn these? I hear no fun to split. I've got a bunch of little ones that need to be cut for my forest plan.

I drive lots of miles on highways where the brakes don't get used at all. I doubt it would have gone 50,000 in city driving. I do know they were original because I bought the car new. Now those fronts look like new brakes again. Took about 1/2 hour per wheel because the bolts came out easy and the new pads were a nice snug fit with no binding on the install.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the pads way bigger/ bigger brakes on that vs the half ton ram? I know the brakes were massive on the 1 ton 84 Chevy we had, and they were way bigger than the half ton chevy brakes of similar years.

I would hope the one-tons have bigger brakes than their half-ton siblings. ;). But it also normal for the diesel versions to have even beefier brakes than the gas version of the same truck. Also matters if it's a SRW 1-ton or a dually.

The pads were 5/16" or thicker when new. Still over 3/16". The exhaust brake has saved them a ton.

Gary you may enjoy this. This is a pic of my step dad with his Studebaker champion bullet nose ( As he called it) 4dr with suicide doors. Original paint and interior. I can't remember if it was a 50 or 51. Man I miss that car but not as much as I miss him! Never take a day for granted guys because you will never get it back. He sold the car in 94 and passed away in 95. IMG_20150622_203445.jpg

I had a Poulan 5020 that I ported and dropped the cylinder on. But I fubared that sucker and it would not run worth a crap. So I ordered another cylinder and it is back to the drawing board.

Well, it rained most of the day. I figured I would start an inside project. So I wrecked the living room and installed a wall bracket for the tv. Omnimount up to 70" and 120#
It went pretty well...both times. :emb:
Seems I didn't read the small print about adjusting the height when using ....blaa.blaa.blaa.... :headbang:
Works nice. It swings and tilts every direction. Need to hide the wires next. Not enough time today.

Those looks like the ones we put down at the pub. Grease or lightly oil the bolts at the joints. Makes a world of a difference on the movements. That tip was on one of the reviews.

TurboDiesel angle that thing to the right a bit and give the buck a remote - it's the least you could do for him considering....
