Forecasters are saying very heavy rain and storms to hit our neck of the woods Saturday thru Sunday. We've been getting storms everyday, dumping heavy rain, so I expect some flooding from the system in our area. (East central Pa) thewoodlands are you expecting anything from this?

Don't want any part of that. That will hit here on Father's day right when we have a planned BBQ.

Most of the rain has been tracking just to the north of us. We've gotten enough to moisten everything up and get rid of the cracks in the ground. I hope we don't get hammered when the main part of the storm moves through.
The mosquitoes are finally coming out and they're looking for blood.

Late Saturday night (Sunday morning) they're calling for .76 inches of rain.

We'll see how much we actually get. The river is still running high and the brook is coming down.

Theres quite a bit of rotation in this storm. Given its Northeasterly track, it will dump a chit ton of rain on us. Im curious what kind of wind we'll see.

The rain woke me up around 6AM. It was heavy, but not that bad. It came through in waves and the center passed pretty much over the top of us and should be done raining and past us in about an hour. I'd be surprised if we got more than an inch. Our storm drain isn't even flowing. Haven't noticed any wind at all.

I think when a storm like this moves through in the summer, the weather guessers are baffled by it and have no idea what to predict, so they over-guess it.

It does look like it's gaining some mass as it heads into PA though, so who knows.

thewoodlands if one doesnt push the other, I can certainly see an area with major flooding! (Possibly your area on NE!) Good eye bro!

The local news is very interested in the storm's rotation. Although there is a chance of hail and tornados, the risk is minimal. The storms could be severe however, with alot of wind and lightening. The worst will be after midnight here......:picard:

Yes, Northern Kentucky. The center of the storm is about 30 miles south now. If the storm doesn't wrap around, it shouldn't last much longer here.
I don't see anything remarkable about this storm, it just feels like a good summer soaking, for us anyway.

I think the heavier rains stay southeast of us, time will tell.

It all starts late tonight or Sunday morning for us, just over an inch of rain for us.

We'll be fine back in the woods, the river levels should come up again which will pizz off the people on this end of the river.

Well, maybe we'll luck out then........... Its really warming up here, getting humid, so maybe that will contribute to a more explosive storm. We'll see overnight......

Shoot me. Over a week straight with rain every day. It has been raining steady since 930am. I am so glad I didn't do a garden this year. I planted a pepper, an eggplant, and strawberry plants (most from last year). A couple days ago the eggplant was turning yellow and the berry plants had a disease. I couldn't live in Seattle.
