    im sure they are. most wood fire hot tubs i see are like 3k or so. I feel like i can DIY it for well under 700

    I wonder how long it would take to heat the water up? Another issue would be during freezing temps you have to drain it when not in use.

    thats probably what turns people off from it is I saw that for 300 gallons or so it takes 2-3 hours

    exactly i want to do something like that but obviously clean it up and make it look a little better.

    Yeah they did a pretty good job with the logs around the tub but the rest looks a little hillbilly. You could hide the tubes in some kind of pipe and insulate it. Also paint up a barrel to make it look neater.

    I was thinking the same thing. Draining the water everytime in the winter could be a problem, so could filling it.

    Reminds me of my buddy, he was was in a big garden tub with his girlfriend. The lights were down low and they had candles around them and a few drinks. Suddenly he saw a bright light....her hair caught fire from one of the candles!:rofl: :lol:
