Thanks for posting, just to clarify, the narrow oblong bow on the 026 is a clearing bow. It's most practical use would be on a Christmas tree farm where you could reach under the tree and plunge cut it off. The large bow is what was used in the South to buck up pulp wood, i.e. pine. As you can see, it eliminates the need to bend over to make the cut and the open bow prevents the log from pinching. As shown in the videos, you need to engage the foot on the bow at the edge of the log to prevent kickback. Bows require far more power than a bar, unless you are in balsa wood you are better off with a 65 cc saw.
Gary, I really appreciate you bucking all that up. And to Rookie for taking video of it!! That 026 was cool, as was the Poulan of Gary. But Jim (W8ye) had another bow saw he brought. It was a 371 Husq that was a beast. Here is Birddogtg running that 371.
Happy to do it, the 5200 bow couldn't do anything with the cants. Wish someone had brought a Fiskars so I could have tried one out on what I sectioned up. Thanks again for setting everything up and having us out to your place. When I am back in VA at the end of the week I will rob the clutch cover off my 056 so I can run the bow on the one I have here.
