My 'Pop's '03 F150 SCrew is now mine. We had given it to a friend 3 years ago at the end of its lease. The buyout was really low and our buddy sold his truck and bought ours for little money out of pocket. He just got a new Ford Escape from his uncle who passed. Didn't want the V8 truck anymore so he gave it back to me. Cost me $44 for title and I transferred the plate off the Durango. I'll be selling the Durango and using that money (I hope) to buy a splitter!
Just finished removing the broken tool box and the side steps. I took the factory ones off the day we bought this truck new. They hold salt and ice which eat the rockers. My buddy put some on, him and his wife are short folks. I don't need them, but in just a couple years of them on, ate the rockers. I'm amazed. I got a friend good with body work, especially cab corners and rockers. Going to get it fixed and then repainted. I think it's worth it. Cheaper than a new truck and I don't have a payment.
Those are good trucks. Drove an expidition at work in that year range for over 200000 miles with little problems.
$44??? You paid too much for it!! | | | | | | | | | | \/ Just kidding! WOW! That is what ya call a "SCORE"!!
5.4L with a 3.73 axle ratio if I remember right. Paint is solid. I took care of this truck myself for almost a decade. It should last a long time.
