Went to Gaylord today and stopped at a stove shop that a could have sworn was supposed to have BKs.
Guy was helping someone already, but he didn't want to ignore me, so he asked if he could help.
I asked if they had BKs in stock and he asked....now get this,.."What is it?".
He told me if had a model or something that he could ask whether they could be ordered.
I told him thanks for your time, and left.
Don't want to deal with them if they don't even know what it is.
They did, however, have a Cape Cod there.
Large E/W loading stove. Beautiful stove. Didn't know they were top loaders, or was I looking at the wrong stove?
    webby?

PapaDave, not to change the subject but, do you get any mushrooms around Gaylord? When I got my stove I definitely used a dealer that knew alot about stoves and more importantly installs.

Don't do the morel thing, and we're about 35-40 minutes east of Gaylord. I did find a morel in the yard a couple years ago. One.
I just go there for shopping sometimes.

    Freddie's has everything you need.

Cape Cod is front loading. Musta been looking at the Leyden.

Never hearing of a Blaze King isn't surprising.

Our local hearth store has the Cape Cod burning at their store, it won't get the burn times of a BK ( I think it gets 10-12 hours) but the Cape Cod throws some big heat.

Big fan on the Cape Cod, it will chase you from the room.

Wife works there. It's about the only game in town other than the bars.
They don't have everything, but they seem to be getting there.
I've heard rumors of an expansion.
I could have sworn the stove said CC on it. Over 25" wide firebox, but I didn't have a tape.

Cape Cod is front load only. Doesn't seem like a bad stove, but the burn times seemed limited since it was a 3 cu ft stove. Webby was getting 10-12 hours out of it. I thought a stove that size running a cat (hybrid, but still) should get longer burn times than the 30.

I believe that it also has a convection top over the top of the firebox. Maybe that swings up?

Last time I was thru, I stopped at Freddie's on the off chance I might find a flue thermometer. The guy said he had some ordered, then showed me their brand new selection of hearth products   Okay for a small town, one stop shopping, hardware-grocery-gas station, I guess.
They do have a lot of stuff in there.

All top shelf stuff......literally, everything's on the top shelf.
    J/K.
    You probably talked to Tony
After looking at Lopi's site, it must have been the Leyden.
Still a really nice looking stove.
