No way will my wife help stack. She used to but I kicked her out! She can do many things and do them very well but stacking wood is not one of them!

I'd love to have been stacking wood yesterday too. I did get the atv out and went back to where last winter's wood is and would you believe, none of it is even split yet! Geeze, when I'm not there, nothing gets done. Oh well, one of these days it will get done....even if it has to wait a year.

    She said thanks B....

We look forward to having you and many other out at our place on May 30th this year!!

Another reason she may have helped me is.....

Her wedding ring was in desperate need of repair. So I took the money from when I sold my Solo 681 and gave it to her. Then told her to have the rings fixed the way she wanted.

I was going to use that money to build a 50 cc GTG machine. But decided to put it to better use and make her happy.

Here is the following FB post and a o
Pic.. She just got it the day before we stacked.

Good on you. With all those bonus points you can buy at least 3 saws in the future.

My son and myself filled another rack on Monday...

Timber was up to his usual self... stealing all the little pieces. :)

You can see his ears are back, because he knows he is doing wrong by stealing wood.. lol

My wife will stack too, but she won't touch the ends. She leaves those to me.

    Nice work Dexter!

Smooth move dex, gotta keep em happy. Easy to do when ya got a good one. After all, they put up with us right?:emb:

It also lessens the blow when we buy something dumb and expensive we don't really need, uh, like a chainsaw.

I also had a dog called timber while I was growing up. A male malamute that probably had more wolf in him than anything! Never stayed home...used to crawl up the chain link fence to get out.
How old is your son? Kinda in the way helper, or really a helper?

He is 13, going on 14 in a few months. He is a good helper, when his school work and sports/Boy Scouts allow him the time.

My daughter came to help as well, but she grabbed the small splits and stacked them in a kindling pile.

This was last year (daughter just turned 3 and he was 12) on vacation at the cabin

At his age definitely a good helper!
Now, the next order of business. It is no secret that you are an administrator on this site. It is also believed that this responsibility is a non-paid position, right?
Well, then whats up with a mini golf course in the back yard at your cabin? Time for an audit!

The wife helped again today. I bought a new hedge trimmer and we cut all of our tall grasses (Zebra, Pampas, etc) and then filled another rack.

Dex, Man, from those pictures you sure are blessed and living the good life! America!

Dang, I wish I could get my wife to stack wood... On the other hand she does do a ton of other stuff, like making dinner while I'm out stacking or keeping my three year old from climbing the old windmill!
