Hey savemoney, The stacks can't be seen from the road. We have a 1/4 mile long driveway. No problems with pilferer's yet. Hope it stays tha way...it better.

Hey, cribbed ends, looks like you are about finished playing there. Feel free to mosey on up here and watch Spring come in a second time while you play around in my woods....

All kidding aside, those are beautiful and impressive stacks. Congratulations, again.

From what you guys, up there, are saying I should wait a few weeks to come up and watch a second spring. To bring it to perspective, I have already found one tick crawling on my left arm...two weeks ago. Looking for snakes next. I do "mosey" kinda slow most of the time.

Looks like it was a great day

    What's your temps ?

You try to get the wood in before the summer heat ?
When's it usually get too hot & muggy to process wood?
"Sit under a shade tree & sweat type weather."

Low 70's today. Predicted 39 deg tonight. Late June to early September could be 90+ deg and 90+ humidity, on any given day ( most days). Last year we CSS all summer, with an enormous amount of sweat. This year, we don't have to if we decide not to. We might, but we are not going to bust our a$$. Thank you FHC for the enlightenment of the 3+ year getting ahead plan. Dad (86 yr old) would come and watch last summer, and each time he would tell us "I always split a wheel barrow of wood and pushed it to the basement, and burned it." If I hadn't found this site, that would have been my belief, from my mentor.

Shooting for more air conditioning, less sweating, this summer.

I did see a hen turkey on the trail while motoring to the top today. She just kinda ignored me, and the Volunteer. Had a great deer season last year. on the property.

The 3 butt rounds are a bit punky, but still some good heartwood. rest was surprisingly pretty sound.
