She ain't the prettiest girl on the shelf, but she's dam sure the meanest!!!:saw::dex:

90cc's of Mastermind'd fury, and no decomp valve... This is no place for little girl panties!

    image.jpg

So, I had to put mine away and call Randy... :emb: He had to walk me through drop starting a big boy saw. He basically told me to grow a pair and just rip on it.  I did manage to get it started a couple times, but I think I'll still be adding the decomp valve.

Congrats! I showed someone what the 372 could do the other day and his jaw literally hit the ground. He was shocked! I hope you get the same reactions especially your own. :saw: :dex:

Nice! That must be a beast. I'll be getting my "FedEx package" in Oct/November.

So why doesn't it have a decomp valve? Did they not put them on older version of the saw, or was/is it an option?

Nice. I still have only two saws, and would like if the larger one had bigger britches. But I can't afford to send it off - time for a 3rd saw, then off to the mechanic.

The cylinder does have a place for one, there's just a bolt in there instead right now. I guess he didn't have any when he had it on his bench. It's like a $5-10 part that I should have no problem installing myself, so I'm not too worried.

This is a saw that he was tinkering around with some wilder finger porting than he usually does. I had a Husky 385XP that I traded him for it - he wanted my saw for a 385 build-off in KY later this year.

I did manage to start it and cut a couple cookies from some 24" ash rounds that were a little too long. She's a beast! :dex:

I like seeing some of the good Reputable saw builders doing good here. I have seen in the past where someone who bought a modded saw was all the sudden a saw modder, taking business from the good guys. It is an art, Not just anyone (with a dremel) can do it.. I Look at everyones sig and it makes me smile cause I know most of those peeps :)

    Shawn,
    Your scaring me.:jaw:
I have an 066 flattop ( no decompression valve ) in Tenn right now.
I will be my first with extra bananas.
Can't wait to compare it to my stock 660 mag & 661.
    :startled:
