Se ohio today 68 and sunny. Not gonna last though. Weekend calling for 35 degrees. Out of wood. Burning natural gas.
Yeh I know jack. Theres a reason there's not a natural gas hoarders forum. Lol. Only wood I got left is some large maple rounds cut in november. Waiting for ground to dry up to get into a stash to cut for next season.
It's not over up here in southern Canada 1-3 inches of snow with lows in the single digits at night this weekend.
Wow. Gotta say thewoodlands, that as much as I love burning wood, I enjoyed working in the shop with the doors open and sitting on the front porch in short sleeves
Here in Maine we are not sure when it is really over. We even get frosty temps in June some years. If it isn't cold, it is cold and wet. July and August are about the most dependable months. I'm about out of pellets and I am sitting on over a half tank of oil that needs to come out in a couple weeks. Looks like the boys want to rip out the oil hot air and water and put in one of those condensing gas burners. 98% efficient, but takes up nearly no room. I need the space for living area now that we are splitting the house in two. One boy and his wife and kids will move into the upstairs area and we will live down without stairs. Wife and I have mobility issues. Don't want to move, but can't keep up with the property unless I hire everything done.
The part about being in southern Canada, we're in the foothills of the Adirondacks which is about 50 miles south of the border. We've had two real cold winters (this one seemed colder) so we're looking forward to the warmer weather too.
Wow... that's very big news Larry! Looks like it's gonna be a busy spring/summer for your son and family... and you & Cindy. Good luck with all of it. It'll work cause it's built on love. Hope you & Cindy are well.
Twas 13 this morning. No, the end of burning season is not in sight just yet around here. We do usually figure it is done by Memorial Day.
34 and snowing here. It has been a longer than usual winter, our normal temps should be in the 40's by now.
