I burnt around 7-8 cords maybe less this year. I'm hoping to burn less next year

I realize some are still in burning season so just give your guess if that's the case

I burned a little more wood than usual, about 4.5 cords insted of 3.5. I also burn coal and burned less than in past years, about a ton instead of 1.5 tons.

BTU wise I probably reduced the total number of BTUs burnt by about 15 to 20%. I had done some insulation work in the fall so even with the much colder winter I appear to have come out ahead.

Half of what I did last year. Looks like I'm further ahead for next year! :)

Right where I want to be.
Right about 4 and a third cord as of today. Still burning and expect to for another 2 months.
It's slowed down considerably for the most part.

Looks like it will be about 3 1/2 cords. Heat pump hasn't had the cobwebs blown out all winter, except in November when the cooling came on a couple of nights, when I had the thermostat set too low on the cooling setting.

I had around 5 cords set aside for this year, and that's about what I'm on pace to use. I thought I was going to end up short after February, but it was pretty mild right through December and I think that balanced it out. Furnace hasn't run once this year. I actually didn't even notice I was out of fuel oil until February!

still burning, it's still 22 degrees and 30 MPh nw wind, I'm on pace for about 10.5 cord of hardwood, used about 10 last year. I just think that's about all you can fit in an englander nc-13 in 6 months if it doesn't shut off. hoping to use a little less next year with IS.

    About 2 cord.
That is half what we normally burn, but we spent most of December and all of January in the Philippines this winter hanging out on tropical beaches. We missed all the snow and cold weather here, and since we got home we've been having warmer then average temps. I think we are going to be making a habit of this.

Looks like I'm on track for about 3 cord. That's a big improvement over years past...thanks in large part to new windows, and my new stove is really working incredibly well and reduced my fuel needs by a fair bit. Biggest factor has probably been the weather, we almost didn't really even have a winter. It's full on spring now, and I've let the big heater go all the way cold which is two months ahead of schedule. That is only possible since I'm heating the house from the kitchen with a new cookstove. I just built a new heater/cooker indoors that has my wood use going up right now at the wrong time of year, but....smoking brisket indoors is worth any amount of fuel use.

I'll end up at about 2-3/4 cords. With the old stove I was always around 4 cords, sometimes more. Because of the new stove, this will be first time I'll end up with enough wood left over for next season.

Too much, 6 chord and still burning, down to soft wood now though as it's averaging mid 30's. Oak at night for when it drops to the teens.

I have burned just under 4cords here. Will easily hit the 4cord mark within the next 2weeks. We head to Florida for 14days in 2weeks, so I hope this is the last 2weeks of burning for me this year.

PS: I swear it better be warmer when we come home or I am staying down there!

We may end up less than 3 cord. Three seems to be about our average now. But last winter we were over 4 so although it seemed like a cold winter, it was nowhere near what we had a year ago.
