So far the 2 row leaning toward each other with a bark side up 1/2 round, to cover the joint in the middle is working. Snow on top & none in the middle YET! ( have only had mild winds to 45 mph.) Seem to be stable, I can see some movement as it dries but no signs of it starting to fall over yet. High noon shadow . Less than 7° high noon sun angle now.
Nice pics Dave. Do you ever find critters living in the space? Looks like a good place to get out of the weather.
Cat likes to sneak thru there. Did see a mouse track close by. Cat probably got it. Critters that would fit , usually sleep underground in a den, this time of the year. Pallets off the ground & loose stacked, pretty cold in there.
Not used to it but have experienced it for years. Late Jan, the snow get blown away by 60 to 80 mph winds, not sure where it goes though? So 45 mph is not bad. The norms here are extremes in other places Above zero degrees F here, is a mild winter too Some extremes here for sure. 4' of ice on our lakes, makes ice fishing a little more work
Your idea is working great!! Keep us updated. Hate to see something that pretty topple over. Looks to be doing very well.
Looks like they are holding up well. I am going to guess they will make it through just fine. Good idea leaning them towards each other and stacking over the center.
