Well, we had a heat wave, 53* yesterday and I skipped church, :emb: to do this… :saw: but it was 5 years "WAY" over do for a trimming. So today I skipped work, "one of those senior perks" for the clean up detail. This is going to be a pain in the A$$!

By the way, don't laugh at my corny yellow sweet shirt.  It had it's purpose, not sure what but it did…:p
I suppose I'll get about a half cord of small stuff, I said to myself I won't open a Beer till after noon!, I promise… Oh and yes, I smashed my mail box!

What type of tree did you trim. The only time I ever saw a trimming like that was on some fruit trees. And when the ice storm came.

Maples, They were so over grown it was crazy…. I was getting mold all over the front of my house, and they way you are looking at the picture, the front of my home faces East! I should never get mold there.

Those will come back strong and bushy. For down here thats about the norm! Those trees are 45 years old, I know when they were planted, Maples here grow like weeds! Thats why when ever we get a good nor-easter, I "always" get a maple or two from people to burn.

Yep, dealing with tons of branches is one of the pains - especially when you aren't in the woods and can just leave lying or make a quick pile. Enjoy your day off - weather is real nice here, probably even warmer where you are! Cheers!

Sometimes brush can be used to makes rows for peas to grow up on. The open nature and support makes for easy pick'in.

Actually Dave, Thats close!!! Because I live on a fairly well traveled road, I wanted crazy people driving to see me when I was in the street dragging branches. "unfortunately" we have had three dogs hit on this street, "not mine" and one kid back about 20 years ago. "all survived" with the exception of a German Sheppard that had to be out down :( due to his injuries…

I hope you can move someday. Busy streets are too much disruption for me. That's one reason I built on a dead end road that can't be expanded on because of a power line. Nice quiet place to have a family and pets. I wouldn't be a good mix for having close neighbors.

So Dave, did you get the trees down?

And is that really a sweet shirt or perhaps a sweat shirt? Perhaps a bit of both?
