I just did mine five minutes ago. Was a bit overdue. A lot of stuff came out.

What did you use to cap your cap?

Also ran the snow blower that was acting weird the other day. Everything seems fine. Guess it didn't like the cold.....

Anybody here cleaning their system with the leaf blower who has a Harman stove attached? I did mine last fall and only got some red colored ash, very little as compared to when I was doing it with the Napoleon.

That happens when you push or scrape the Harman poop from the burn pot, most of that ash ends up in the ash pan or on the ceiling above the stove from opening the door too quickly too often.

Pick your poison that ash has to go someplace.

Well got a pile of snow off the roof, no where close to what was up there the first winter we were here. The wind and the light fluffy stuff keeps it off the roof for the most part.

Just watched the news. This house was built in the 1990's and the current family has been there for 9 years now.

Why do you cover that? To prevent sucking outside air?

When I add to my vent outside it will look identical to your setup. I hope my siding since it's the same color, stays just as clean.

Just so I get more suction from the inside of the stove. Once it's done sucking everything from the inside I take the bag off to suck the vertical part of the vent out but there usually isn't too much in there because I run the brush through ahead of time.
