We used it for our food plots on his and my land. I got one deer on his farm and he got 3 on my farm. He bought a larger tractor and did not want to let the tiller go as the guy would not give him much more to include it in the sale. Worked out great for both of us.
Mixed hardwood and there can be some pretty crappy wood in it is $250/$275 here dumped. Stacking appears to be $50. That's what my friend gets for the dead standing red oak we've been cutting. I don't think he's charging enough considering what's out there for sale. I might sell my season maple for that but not my well seasoned 100% red oak.
Driver if you're 5 years ahead, other than this particular horse trade deal, I'd advertise an occasional cord here and there stating that it has been stacked/seasoned for 5 years for a premium price. See if you don't find a few folks that are willing to pay big bucks for "gormet" firewood.
It's a friend that has it 01 Polaris sportsman I can use it whenever I need it but they want to get rid of it so they offered it to me at a steal of a price. It's great for getting wood out where I can't get the tractor in.
I've considered that but like my guns and saws I won't sell any of them guess that makes me a true hoarder
Ad in local paper... dry mixed hardwood $125 per cord, delivery extra. This is pretty much typical. If you are paying $200-300 you may as well turn up the thermostat
WOW at that price no one around here would bother cutting and selling wood as they could not make any profit!!!
I recently sold a cord of Seasoned Ash to a neighbor for $125.00. He picked it up and loaded it himself. Another neighbor is selling green mixed hardwood for $150.00 a cord no delivery.
bogydave, I'd gladly sell you a cord of white oak or shagbark for $125...but the delivery would be costly from here
