Bypass, then open door, pic, shut door, wait minute, bypass again. ;) We just want to see what the fire and logs are doing....

New load, not as tight as an overnight load.
Start up pic, bypass closed but cat not engaged yet ,air on high: no flash

15 Min later, tuned down to medium, flash , cat engaged & glowing bright orange.

Above is what it does unless I adjust for more heat.
A little more air on will have some flames, more air more flames.
Cat glows hot for long time.
This load good till 10 or 11 tonight , at the 20° outside temps. House 71°

So how many hours is that? U took one at 5pm and that's an hour into it and it will Las rill 11pm? So that's 7hrs?? This is a blaze king on low? I thought they lasted 18-24 hours like this!! Or am I wrong on times? My high valley stove on a low setting like that lasts 14 hours easy sometimes on a packed load on low with good wood and coals to relight I can get 22 hours.

Outside 40° days, 30°s at night,: Shoulder season
I average 24 hour burn times with my set up
Was fairly warm last night 13°, 50 mph wind gust though, chill factor -12.
12 to 14 hour burn times pretty good IMO.

Haha yea forgot about the time difference. And yea diff climate too. But if I turn my stove up to much I worry about flame impingement . I will suck the flames up into the cat if I push it to hard. But I guess 8 hrs is a "fast" burn for my 3.5cuft stove. But I have an uninsulated home and try to heat 2000sqft so a 20f night can really push my stove! Well stove room is insulated and I have r19 in ceiling!

Put this one together about 1.5 hours ago. Unfortunately, I can't get a decent pic thru the glass, and it's at 600+, so I am not opening the door.

The glass is actually pretty decent after I scraped some crud off, but the camera on this phone is more complicated than it needs to be. I'm sure there is a setting that will allow me to take a pic right thru the baked on creosote. Maybe even thermal imaging

Lasts 14 hours? I am on 24 hour burn cycles with the crap wood I am trying to get rid of. Best 24/7 heater on the market. Just wish they would make a bigger one.

97% ash. That little half round in the upper right is oak.

My glass is yucky all the time. If I clean it and burn hot, it stays decent for a short while. It won't clean up with a hot burn. The crap in the corners will get flaky and wipe right off, but that's as good as it gets.

High valley must have a pretty decent wash system cause my glass stays clean even in a slow burn. It even stays decent burning 35%mc oak not that I do much of that.

The BK burns way low...this is when I see it on the glass. Otherwise with dry stuff in the winter I only get a little in the corners.

    Yea
A down side of the BK is the dirty glass.
But I still got the glass door option, it's never totally blacked over.
Better now with the 2 & 3 year seasoned birch.

Birch bark is a black smoke, like burning coal,
not sure if that's part of the dirty glass though.
