Since I've been burning wood for heat; I've only burned a little bit of cherry. It was primo when I did though. I'm jealous!!!

MightyWhitey , Mother Nature keeps knocking it down....we'll keep on burning it.

It's a nice wood to burn until it gets real cold then we make the switch to the better stuff.....Beech,Sugar Maple and Ironwood.

Movie time gotta go, watching Black List (NetFlix) through Google Chromecast.

Nice looking job. I've got a bit of cherry to cut up here too. We burn a good amount of it.

Got my first cherry tree late summer this year. Fell in a nasty wind storm about a month before I cut it. How long does cherry take to season usually?

I managed to stack the rest of the Cherry except for some uglies & smaller rounds, I grabbed some dead Elm that I had split so I could finish the stack.

I still have some nice Sugar Maple, Soft Maple & Ironwood that need s/s, I hope to have that done by next Sunday.

I never did get into the woods today, I brought the splitter down so I could help my neighbor with his wood, he's not a picture guy so there's none.

Cherry for us seems to be nice and dry in 1 year if s&s. I have a lot of cherry this year that was cut 2 years ago but only in 5-6' lengths. I cut out all up and split it this fall and it was completely dry. It burns nicely. My buddy and I felled a nice 16" diameter cherry widow maker this fall, and I made him put it at the back of his pile. He shouldn't have to touch that cherry until next season if I helped him as much with hauling older dead and cut wood from the woods that we stacked in front.

Well Seasoned , it looks like Mother Nature will give us another long weekend so I can stack the rest of the mess, the Ironwood is up first.

Horkn , we usually burn Cherry that has been seasoning for two years.
