I know most members here are dog lovers, but like my wife says over and over "you can't pick who you fall in love with". I just buried my good buddy Dusty in the back yard. He had a tumor on his lung and the vet said there was nothing he could do. Dusty was the greatest cat who ever lived! He had attitude, he loved to walk in the woods with me and he always came running when I called him. When he wasn't out hunting mice, he was curled up next to me on the recliner. He will be missed. This is how I'll remember him
Jackstraw please accept my condolences on losing your buddy. Whether it be cat, dog or whatever, our pets have special places in our hearts. Remember all the good times and take solace that you were able to give him a good life.
Oh man I hate to hear that!!! I love cats. Guess I am not macho!!??? He looks like a cool cat! I have one that will follow me on walks and ride in the truck with me when I let him. He can hunt too!!
Sorry to hear that, Jack. I had to put my friend Monty, a himilayan I had since I was a solhomore in highschool, down this time of year two years ago. Its never easy. I lived with Monty the same length of time I lived with my parents, that sure puts into perspective how long relationships with our animal friends can be.
Sorry to hear it jack. We had our cat put down earlier this year, and it was rough. Cats and dogs sure can capture your heart
Man Jack, I'm real sorry to hear about your bud. We recently adopted a couple cats, and one thinks I'm her pillow...or chew toy. Depends on her mood. Anyway, we're all thinking about you and your loss.
Sorry about your loss. No matter what kind of pet that you fall in love with, it is hard to lose them after spending so much time with them. Remembering the good times and the funny or smart or even dumb things they did will help ease the pain of loss.
Our condolences here too Jack. They have personalities and quirks that can't always be replaced. We lost my wife's cat a few years ago due to old age and failing health. We were lucky to adopt a feral rescue kitten that is just amazing in her own way. She melted our hearts rather quickly.
I'm very sorry to hear about your buddy .I love cats. My last cat of 16 years was a gem , I still miss her , It was a very sad day when she passed , but I love my new little buddy just as much
Jack Straw Sorry to hear this, especially around the holidays. It sounds like Dusty really had a good life, chasing mice, sleeping on your lap, taking walks with you. Im sure you found the perfect final resting place for him in the yard that will bring a smile to your face when you look out and remember all the good times. R.I.P Dusty
Sorry you lost your buddy Jack. We had a cat a while ago that acted more like a dog than a cat, taking walks with us just like a dog would. I had a hard time when we had to put him down....
My condolences Jack. My wife and I are also big time animal lovers, dogs for me and both cat and dog for her. I know exactly what your feeling with pet loss. I'm sorry
My condolences to you and yours Jack Straw. A loss of a pet is never easy. I have had to bury several dogs over the years and none were easy. But I always keep in mind that we gave them a good life. And we know you did that by just seeing the picture of him you posted. Gods speed Dusty. And thanks for being a good/caring pet owner Jack Straw!
