can you add it to any MS250? that's really about all the saw he needs.. When my uncle died I wanted dad to have a saw and it was either an 046 or the 034. he was afraid of the 046 lol. He used the 034 once, rocked the chain and then couldn't start it the next time after all his surgeries.... I think he gave it to my brother or was going to anyway before he disappeared up in michigan with some broad. it will be awhile before dad is back to health to run a saw anyways.

I never tried adding it after the fact. I think quite a bit is different on the saw parts wise.

The flywheel is different and has pawls for the wrap spring mechanism.

The whole starter assembly is different

There's a preferred way to use the "Easy Start"

If you continually horse them around like I did the one once, you will eventually have trouble.

Truth. And those spring modules are not cheap!

Stihl MS250, bone stock except for a very free-flowing muffler mod.

Chain is sharpened by me on the USG. Nothing fancy, round ground .325 RS at about 50% remaining. 18" bar on it.

This a saw just about anybody can buy and modify. Beautiful examples can be had for about $200 or less depending on condition.

Saw in the vid is a tad lean, wants to rev out to 14k+, still four-stroking. I have it currently set for 13,800 and it barely cleans up in the wood.
