    I never tried adding it after the fact. I think quite a bit is different on the saw parts wise.

    The flywheel is different and has pawls for the wrap spring mechanism.

    The whole starter assembly is different

    The coil is different

    There's a preferred way to use the "Easy Start"

    If you continually horse them around like I did the one once, you will eventually have trouble.
