What size engine is on that splitter? And it looks like a Kohler as well?

Nice looking splitter. What made you decide on the 35 ton over DH 28 or 22 ton.

Well for one thing, I wanted something that would really do the job, almost no matter how big.
Yes, a 28 or 22 may have done just fine, but I figured this is the last splitter I will ever own and I will pass it on to my son, like this last one.
So basically, for just a few bucks more, what the hell .... go big!

Oh plus.... the HD next to the Dirty Hand Tool ..... HD just doesn't come close to quality, strength and I believe durability will be far better as well. Trust me I've seem them side by side, HD not as good.

Oh man I can't wait to watch it eat those 2 & 3ft big boys, then later on I will put it in the horizontal position and finish off breaking the log down just a bit, I normally don't like my logs to small, usually 6 to 8 in fat and 18 inches long works great for my insert.
One thing I forgot to mention was that the horizontal position is at a great comfortable height and the log catcher really is a plus to have.

Right now I doing some research on solar kilns and wood storage, I think I'm on to some great ideas that will only cost a small couple of buck$ and may really speed things up. I'll keep you all posted in a new thread as soon as I get things a stacking.

Shes purty, the DHT line of splitters look to be a lot of splitter for the money.

They really are, the HD 35 Ton sells for $1,999 .... DHT was $1,799 w/ free shipping to HD. Like I mentioned before, I've seen my DHT and the HD 35 Ton together, DHT much better splitter then HD's by far

Glad you all like it, I love it!
