Wife has helped with the small stuff and some of the bigger logs she rolled to the trailer so I could load them. Thankfully, some of that was downhill.

That looks great Dennis! Glad you're able to be out in the woods - it's a great time of year for it. How much wood do you think is there?

Looking good buddy.....I never tire of seeing your pics. Take it easy, you'll get it done in due time. Looks like you are in the same boat as us in regards to having no snow, which I'm sure you are just fine with.

I personally am hoping for a couple big snows here so I can finally get all of that white oak off of the farm with my snowmobile. There is at least a years worth up there waiting for me to process. I'm going to make a set of skis for the splitter and haul it up to the woods to process it in the spot. It'll be an interesting and fun experience. Gonna do some milling on the big logs with the chainsaw mill I got from Trundle....

Well the milk crate won't be used until March or April. That is why it is just sort of thrown together stacking. That is not permanent. Also, all the wood you see there is from trees broke off or uprooted. All dead wood.

Ah. Skis on the splitter. That would definitely warrant a picture or three.

As for the snow, I would be okay if no snow all winter but know that is not possible. I'd be just fine with what we got last night too; just a very little bit; not enough to even cover the ground. That's enough. I'd also be fine with weather in the 20's and 30's daytime and 10-15 at night.

As for the milling, I thought long and hard about buying a portable mill a few years ago but my physical condition and wife caused me to back off. It would have been fun though.

Yes i want to add a shout-out to Judy for helping get it done. I'm sure it was nice for both of you to get out and enjoy that time doing what you've done so many years together! After all that both of you have been through it's awesome to see this happening again!

Judy says to tell you she appreciates your thoughts rather than yelling that she is too old to do that.

My mother sent me a text asking what Emily (wife) wanted for christmas. About a day later I sent a text with a small list of things and the last item was "Echo cs271t" A day and a half later I get a text "Emily wants a chainsaw!?" Thought I could sneek one in, guess not. The only wood Em touches is from the house stack to the stove.:D I always offer to let her help in the woods, and I always get the same look.
