My how quickly some things can change. It appears our neighbor may have another source for his wood now! That, for us is great news as it lightens our load a lot. I couldn't help but think of that as I was cutting wood today. The wife and I both talked about it and we are both very pleased. So, let the wood cutting continue!

Good thing happening all around you now !
Outside enjoying cutting wood in perfect weather for it.
Maybe not fit as a fiddle but making headway.
Got a pile of wood that's growing.
    Down wood in all directions,

If the weather holds, by the end of the month,
you'll have a years worth of wood ready to split come spring :)

Good job for you and the ornery one! Now take some time to stand back and enjoy it. (Well, maybe I'll just straighten up that pile a bit...huh, might as well stack it too. You know, as long as its warm and no snow, I could split it now and not have to do it in a couple months.....)

That I don't know but he did have some fresh cut ash the last time I was there. It did not look to be dead either.

That is all soft maple and ash. Whoops, I also cut a small cherry but there wasn't much of it.

Got that wood stacked that was in the picture and cut a trailer load this afternoon. I cut the trailer load but it is still on the ground. Back and legs gave out on me so I just put the saw in the trailer and headed for the house.

But it seems that at my age, you can rest for a week or more and still be just as tired. That is one hard pill to swallow. What ever happened to the 10 minute break and every other Sunday off?

Just keep thinking of the turtle and the hare. When a mans azz bumps over more than his hands can pick up it is a losing proposition.
