The big brown truck dropped the new Jred 2253 off yesterday...

Got it out in the woods today to chew on some red oak and dropped and chopped an ash. This is bad, I think I kinda like it. Ran about a tank and a half through it.

Sweet saw. I think I like the red trim better than the orange :D

Oh yeah, wait til you have 10-12 tanks thru her. They rip.. muffler modding them helps, but they are borderline stupid loud when you do muffler mod them.... probably the loudest stock saw i've heard. no running this one without ear protection...

I ran a 550 that was mm'd. Yep, they're loud! I would probably have to be guaranteed decent gains to mm this. Which is weird because all my saws have a mm. I even did it to my 441 before it was even ran!

Honestly, between it and my 260, I think the 260 feels lighter.

I'm running 16" .325 x .058. I have a Total bar on the way from weedeaterman. I'm not a huge fan of the pro lites.

Absolutely a Stihl fan! If you look in the forum and find my thread "The dark side is calling me...", you'll see this is my first non-Stihl!

Thanks! I see no reason to run any more bar on a 50cc saw. Any bigger would take away from the nimbleness.

I have always thought that way.. heck I used to run a GB pro top 13" on my 5100... I run a 16" on my 550 and The power this saw has is amazing.. it almost begs for a longer bar... I've thought lately a 18" or 20".....

    I'm seriously thinking about a 550xp right now. Why do I need a 20th chainsaw? I already have a ported 261...

I MM'd mine after the 3rd tank and got a noticeable difference in power. I didn't run any timed cuts though, so it's all "seat of the pants". The saw really started to wake up around tank 7-8! Mine runs an 18" bar, and while it pulls it impressively, soon it'll have a 13" on it. I think the 18" is way to long and gets in the way more often than not for me.
