Yes, Dana, it was explained, but by then he was a PO'd person, and no amount of explaining would suffice. We offered to give his money back.....ALL of it......still not happy. Might have to deduct the price of the psychotherapist who will have to deal with the tech for years to come........

I'm fortunate in the regard that my chosen profession very rarely requires me to deal with the general public.

You have won by walking away as this guy would be nothing but trouble. The fact that he was wearing that fruitcake outfit speaks volumes.

    Tech an employee or 1099?

If Employee you can kill permit as you engaged in the agreement.

if your "paper contracting" it's on him good & bad - your problems & glory are strictly cash & carry.

PS I can't stand chithead members of the buying public.

Your tech was smart to walk away. You and your tech would have that cone back on you had you gone forward with that install without having the problem corrected.
In my retirement years, I worked with an agency that provided professional home health care visits. Wound care, IV administration, cardiac and respiratory assessments etc. There isn't a provider who can't tell you of clints who were not dressed properly. These clients always knew who and when they would be visited. If we deemed their nakedness to be inappropriate, we would ask that they cover up or we would leave and reschedule when they could be appropriate. The exception was when we were warned in advance. I.e. So called naturalist.
I've even taken another provider with me so that there cannot be false claims made. You live and learn.
